Flora · Raw Wildflower Honey in Hand-Painted Ceramic · 3.5 oz
Flora · Raw Wildflower Honey in Hand-Painted Ceramic · 3.5 oz
The piece the table starts with.
Three and a half ounces of raw wildflower honey in a hexagonal ceramic vessel, painted by hand in Santa María Canchesdá. The bee on the front is modeled in relief, piece by piece: the clay is raised by hand, not stamped. Which is why no two come out the same.
The honey
Wildflower, not monofloral. A different honey from the mesquite in our Enredadera edition, and that is where the name comes from: here the bees work several blooms of the same territory, so the profile is rounder, more floral, with more body. Raw, never pasteurized. If it crystallizes in the cold, that is the sign nobody touched it.
What it's for
Not every gift needs to be monumental. Your daughter's teacher. The person who covered your shift. The house you're going to for dinner. Three and a half ounces and a vessel that stays forever solve that better than a bottle of wine nobody remembers the next day.
It is also the right way to meet Fantina before committing to a numbered piece.
The vessel stays
When the honey is gone, the ceramic remains. It seals airtight. People have used it for coarse salt, for rings, for paper clips on a desk. That is the point: the gift isn't consumed, it changes jobs.
