Shipping and delivery
How much is shipping?
It is calculated at checkout by weight and destination. Orders leave our warehouse in McAllen, Texas. Several pieces ordered together travel in one box, at a single shipping cost.
Can you ship it straight to the person receiving it?
Yes. The package carries no prices and no visible invoice inside, and the handwritten card travels with it. Use your address for billing and theirs for delivery.
Does the ceramic arrive intact?
Every vessel travels in a rigid box with protective inserts. If a piece arrives damaged we replace it at no cost: send us a photo and we resolve it.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Not for now. We ship to addresses within the United States.
The honey
Why did the honey turn solid or grainy?
Because it is raw and unpasteurized. Crystallization is the evidence that the honey is real: industrial honey does not crystallize because it has been heated until it no longer can. To reverse it, set the open vessel in warm water for a few minutes. Never the microwave, never direct heat.
What is the difference between the honey in Enredadera and the honey in Flora?
Enredadera holds monofloral mesquite honey: one bloom, one territory in Jalisco, paler and with a dry finish. Flora holds raw wildflower honey: several blooms of the same surroundings, rounder and sweeter. Both are raw, harvested and jarred in Jalisco.
How long does the honey last?
Raw honey does not expire in the usual sense. Kept closed, dry and out of the sun, it holds for years. It may crystallize; that is not spoilage.
Can children eat it?
Honey, raw or pasteurized, should not be given to infants under one year of age. After that there is no restriction.
The vessel
Who makes it?
Artisans in Santa María Canchesdá, in the State of Mexico. The relief is modeled piece by piece before the first firing and the painting is done freehand, without a stencil. That is why no two vessels come out identical.
Can it be washed? Is it dishwasher safe?
By hand, with warm water and mild soap. Not the dishwasher and not the microwave: the glaze and the painting are made to last decades, not to survive industrial heat cycles.
What is it for once the honey is gone?
Whatever the person holding it decides. It seals airtight: coarse salt, spices, earrings, paper clips, rubber bands. That is the point — the honey ends, the object stays.
Editions and availability
What does an edition of 700 mean?
That the Enredadera edition has seven hundred numbered vessels and there will be no restock. When the last one leaves the workshop the mold is retired, and the next edition will be another piece, another brushstroke, another name.
Does my piece carry a number?
Yes. Every vessel in the edition carries its own. We cannot hold specific numbers.
Orders and payment
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.
Is sales tax charged?
Where applicable, it is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address.
Do you sell wholesale or in volume?
Fantina sells directly to the person who is going to give the gift. We work with a small number of hotels, restaurants and corporate gifting teams: details are on stockists and corporate gifts.
Can I return a piece?
Yes, under our refund policy. If the problem is the shipping or the piece itself, we resolve it without argument.
