Three and a half ounces of raw wildflower honey from Jalisco. The bee is raised from the surface, the dotted flowers run along the base, and neither was traced.

The honey

Amber, openly floral, round and sweet, medium finish. The bees worked a whole season, so it carries whatever was in bloom that year and changes from one harvest to the next. Raw and unfiltered: it will thicken and pale, which is proof, not a defect. Warm water under the vessel loosens it.

Goat cheese, requesón, panela. Yoghurt in the morning, stone fruit in summer, tea.

The town

Santa María Canchesdá has 1,898 residents at about 2,543 metres (INEGI, 2020), in the Mazahua country of the State of Mexico, where pottery is the second livelihood after farming. Cast, fired, painted, fired again, with no stencil at any stage. What changes with the size is the honey, not the hand. How it is painted in Santa María Canchesdá

Afterwards

The honey runs out. The bee stays, sealed under the glaze. Rings, earrings, salt, a single tea light.

Care

Wash it by hand, warm water, mild soap. Not the dishwasher, not the microwave.

If it arrives broken, send a photo and we replace it or refund it.
